On the first morning of a course students take an entry test to ensure they are placed in the appropriate class. 
We provide for all levels from beginners through intermediate to advanced. Our beginners level class assumes students have studied English for a minimum of one year, either at school or evening class. If a student is a complete beginner we recommend that they enrol on a Private intensive course before joining a group course.Especially when teaching younger students, our teachers make sure that lessons are also a lot of fun. And E.F.A.'s commitment to quality doesn't stop there. This is why we only hire highly qualified teachers, whose mother tongue is English. Intensive Courses are offered as Small Group Courses with three, four, or six students, or on a one-to-one basis. Our Private Intensive Courses offer students the opportunity of either 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 or 35 hours of one-to-one tuition per week. These courses enable students to work at their own pace. Progress is regularly monitored and particular attention is given to areas of weakness and specific needs. The Private Intensive Courses are especially suitable for those students who need to improve their English in as short a time as possible and have the flexibility of travel dates. 
The Business English Courses provide specialised tuition on a small group or one-to-one basis. These courses are specifically aimed at students who need to use English in a business environment. Many aspects of English are covered with particular attention given to both formal and informal language used in business situations. Other areas covered are: using English on the telephone, writing business letters and faxes, selling your product, oral presentations, and meetings. Students with specific business requirements, or in a specialised business, have the opportunity to discuss these with their tutor. It is assumed that students enrolling on a Business English course have a reasonable general knowledge of English, otherwise we would recommend first attending one of our Private Intensive Courses.
Our most popular courses are the General English Standard Courses and General English Holiday Courses. These are group courses with or without an activity and excursion programme, and with lessons being held in small groups; the maximum number of students in a class is 15, and the average number of students in a class is only 11. If it turns out that a student has made particularly good progress, he or she can change classes during a course.Both types of General English courses can also be combined with additional small group or one-to-one lessons in the afternoon. These General English PLUS Courses offer students the chance to enhance their general knowledge of English during group lessons, and get that extra bit of attention during small group or one-to-one lessons at the same time. All lessons are held entirely in English, and all students get all books and materials they need - all they have to bring is a pen and paper. Most courses are available all year round and start every Monday. Please note that lessons do not take place on British Public holidays and between christmas and 6th January.
